Esteemed Hills stylist Maria Diaz got her start in the industry 24 years ago and, since then, has had celebrities such as Eva Longoria from Desperate Housewives in her chair. From the Maria de Mexico salon where she got her start, she eventually made her way to us here in Austin, landing a job with industry powerhouse Toni & Guy before joining our team. We are proud to say Maria has been a part of the Hills family for almost 10 years now.

I have been in the industry for 20 years. Worked along side some of the greats including Vidal Sassoon and Michael O Rourke. I have done hair for the Pussy Cat Dolls and also for the pages of Vogue magazine. I have traveled and taught all across the United States at all of the major hair shows. These days most of my time is spent with my family when I’m not making Austin more beautiful. I specialize in color and cuts. For men and women, but also do Brazilian Blow Outs for that hard to tame hair. I look forward to meeting you, and helping with your hair needs.

It’s all about YOU! In my time as a stylist, I’ve never forgotten that amazing feeling I had as a salon patron walking out of the salon feeling better than when I walked in! My mission is to have you feeling gorgeous, pampered and cared for too, every time!

I’ve been cutting & coloring women’s, men’s and children’s hair in south Austin for 11 years. I am Wella color trained, love doing corrective color and have completed Coppola Keratin Smoothing education and have been told I’m a curly hair pro by my lovely curly haired beauties!

I have probably seen her perform HUNDREDS of color/cut services over the years, and she is probably one of the most capable and talented colorists I’ve met.
